Our approach is grounded in real-world experience.   Waymaker Pro Consulting exists to help clients avoid expensive mistakes, understand true return on investment, and move forward with clarity—whether that path involves buying, selling, remodeling, or building from the ground up.

Nicole Jacob founded Waymaker Proconsulting in December of 2020. She prides herself in being a knowledgeable member of the greater Houston home building community. She is a land development and construction consultant with more than 20 years of experience across residential construction, purchasing, operations, and business development. She brings real, boots-on-the-ground expertise—bridging builders, designers, real estate professionals and communities through disciplined, purposeful project planning and implementation.

In addition, Nicole is a Business Development Director with Mainland Stoneworks, supporting residential and commercial clients across the Houston market.

As a respected industry leader, Nicole formerly served as a Greater Houston Builders Association Board of Directors Member (2020-2021), 2022 President of HomeAid Houston, and an active Board Member for the GHBA Associates Council. She is a previous two-time Houston Prism Award recipient, previous TAB award recipient for her Design Center of the year, and recipient of the GHBA’s Young Professional of the Year award. Nicole’s continued service with HomeAid Houston is a reflection of her commitment to community impact and housing solutions beyond the jobsite.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston C.T. Bauer College of Business, graduating Magna Cum Laude, Majored in Business Management, Marketing with a minor in Latin American Studies-Political Science.

 Kevin Bertelsman, whose career spans more than 30 years across engineering, construction, manufacturing, and real estate. Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and began his career at Dow Chemical, where he spent 14 years in operational leadership roles. That background established the analytical, process-driven mindset that defines Waymaker Pro Consulting today.

In 2006, Kevin acquired Mainland Stoneworks, serving as President since and overseeing thousands of residential and commercial projects. His experience includes hands-on involvement in estimating, production, project execution, and client advisory work—providing a practical understanding of costs, sequencing, and risk that most real estate advisors never see. From 2014 to 2017, he also served as President of Mainland Millworks, expanding into custom millwork and integrated design-build operations.

Kevin has remained actively engaged in the building community through the Greater Houston Builders Association, and he served as President of the Bay Area Builders Association in 2015, reinforcing his commitment to builder education, industry standards, and professional collaboration.

In 2025, Kevin became a Licensed Texas Real Estate Agent (TREC #844853) and joined Waymaker Pro Consulting to help bridge the gap between real estate advice and construction reality. The result is a consulting-first model that prioritizes education, transparency, and long-term outcomes over transactions.
